In the spirit of the Liberation War, Ekattur Open Rover Scout Group emerged as the 195th group of Bangladesh Scouts Dhaka District Rover. The hard work of those who helped 71 Open get to this point today is, Honorable Group President Great Freedom Fighter Professor Dr. Nizamuddin Ahmed, Former National Commissioner Foundation and Extension Scouting and Former President, National Committee on Program Affairs, Bangladesh Scouts, as well as the current president, the chairman of the National Committee on Supply Service Management, Bangladesh Scouts. He is also a Baden Powell Fellow and the recipient of the Silver Tiger Award. Mr. S.M. Enamul Haque, our Honorable Group Secretary, is an Assistant Leader Trainer (ALT), as well as a recipient of the President's Scout Award and the President's Rover Scout Award, and a former District Rover Scout Leader.

কুড়িগ্রাম জেলার নাগেশ্বরী উপজেলার কুটিরচর। কুটিরচর নামটার মধ্যেই জায়গাটি সম্বন্ধে ধারণা পাওয়া যায়। একটি চর এলাকা। যেখানকার মানুষরা আমাদের মতো এরকম আরাম আয়েশের জীবন অতিবাহিত করতে পারেন না। প্রতিনিয়ত চলতে থাকে বন্যার সাথে সংগ্রাম । তাদের মুখে একটু হাসি ফুটিয়ে দিতে ইদ এর দিন রাতেই একাত্তর মুক্ত স্কাউট গ্রুপ এর ৪ জন সদস্য কুটিরচরের উদ্দেশ্যে রওনা দেয়।

একজন ঢাকার বাহির থেকে সারাদিনের কাজ শেষ করেই সন্ধ্যার মধ্যে অন্য ৩ জনের সাথে যোগ দেয়। তো অন্য আরেকজনের কাজ শেষই হয় রাতে। আরেকজন তার নিজের ব্যক্তিগত কাজ বাদ দিয়ে যোগ দেয় এই আয়োজনে। এভাবেই ৪ জন একাত্তর মুক্ত স্কাউট গ্রুপের পক্ষ থেকে ইদ আনন্দ ভাগাভাগি করে নিতে নিজেদের পরিবার ফেলে ছুটে যায় কুটিরচরে।

কুটিরচরে রয়েছে একাত্তর কুটিরচর স্কুল। কুটিরচরে একাত্তর মুক্ত স্কাউট গ্রুপ বন্যার্তদের জন্য গত বছর ঘর, টিউবওয়েল, ল্যাট্রিন, যাত্রী ছাউনি স্থাপন করে। তাদের এই দুর্দিনে এই প্রথবারের মতন একাত্তর মুক্ত স্কাউট গ্রুপ আয়োজন করে 'ইদ আনন্দ'।

এই আয়োজন বাস্তবায়ন করতে গিয়ে একাত্তর মুক্ত স্কাউট গ্রুপ এর সদস্যরা নিজেদের পরিবারকে পুরোটা সময় দিতে না পারলেও তা দিতে সক্ষম হয়েছে কুটিরচরে। বলতে কোনো দ্বিধা নেই যে তারা পুরোপুরি ভাবে সন্তুষ্টি লাভ করতে পেরেছে কুটিরচরে সেইটুকু সময় দিয়ে যেটা পরিবারে সাথে দেয়ার কথা ছিল।
এই আয়োজন বাস্তবায়ন করতে গিয়ে একাত্তর মুক্ত স্কাউট গ্রুপ এর সদস্যরা নিজেদের পরিবারকে পুরোটা সময় দিতে না পারলেও তা দিতে সক্ষম হয়েছে কুটিরচরে। বলতে কোনো দ্বিধা নেই যে তারা পুরোপুরি ভাবে সন্তুষ্টি লাভ করতে পেরেছে কুটিরচরে সেইটুকু সময় দিয়ে যেটা পরিবারে সাথে দেয়ার কথা ছিল।

Ekattur Open Scout Group is very much delighted for organizing the event "Inter-Unit Online Debate Competition 2020" first time in the history of Scouting and one of its kind successfully from 01-09 May, 2020. Where the seat of the Chief Scout Personality was embellished by the honorable President of Bangladesh Scouts, Mr. Md. Abul Kalam Azad.
Ekattur Open Scout Group is very much delighted for organizing the event "Inter-Unit Online Debate Competition 2020" first time in the history of Scouting and one of its kind successfully from 01-09 May, 2020. We received a great response from the units. We had 32 teams from the Rover Scout section across the country. Though all the members were not at the same place due to this epidemic situation, they all participated from their home with great enthusiasm from all over the country.

The event was partitioned into 5 Rounds naming 'Ovvutthan', 'Sangram', 'Mukti', 'Swadhinata' and 'Bijoy' as Ekattur Open Scout Group holds unto the cognition of the Liberation War of 1971. All the teams from both sections gave great fights to hold the glory of the champion by defeating others with logics and strategy.
