Alhamdulillah, 5th Group Camp & 9th Initiation Ceremony of Ekattur Open Scout Group held on 18th-19th April, 2019 in National Scout Training Center, Mouchak, Gazipur. On the first day of the camp everyone had reached the campsite at afternoon. After that it was time for their reporting and were divided into four patrols. Then they setup their tents and were given their insignia. There were fruitful session for rover squires taken by the rover mates. First session was held on the Rover Squire Program which helped them to learn about the scout movement and to know some interesting thing about Rovering. They participated in the Camp Fire of the group camp. Everyone performed admirably such as dance, educational drama and sang many patriotic song. The camp fire was really enjoyable. After that vigil was arranged by the respected RSL's to initiate the rover squires into rover members. On the second of the group camp everyone got up early in the morning and did their BP PT and other morning exercise. After that camp craft and inspection was conducted by the camp management committee’s field operation inspectors. Patrol Mukti Bahini stood first, Patrol East Bengal Regiment became 2nd, Patrol Crack Platoon became 3rd and Patrol Guerrilla became 4th in the Inspection. Later that day group flag was hoisted and initiation program started and the rover squires became rover scouts. 21 Rover Squires were initiated as Rover Scout. Rover Anamika Kabir was given the rank badge of SRM for the Girls Rover Unit and Rover Asaduzzaman Saad was given the rank badge of RM for one of the boy's patrol. After the third session much anticipated hiking started for the rovers. Hiking ended at the ‘WA’ building. The rovers came backs and had some light snacks. Interesting games were arranged for the rovers. They submitted their hike reports. They left the camp premises at 4 o’clock. The camp activities was full of challenging & enjoyable.
