The Year 2024 was a unique year which had a significant changes in our lives a year which noticed student movements, a country that was striving to reconstruct itself, and common men making remarkable contributions. People from the southeastern districts of Bangladesh fought for existence against the large forces of nature, showcasing their incredible strength. 

This was a year of struggle and hope where the synergy with determination infused history. The Rover Scouts lived their motto "Do your best to be prepared for Service." From elementary traffic control to disaster support, from market surveillance to crisis management, they dutifully and selflessly surrendered themselves to endless work. In the worst of situations, they became the beacon of light to many and showed that their service is not a deed, but a need.

 In remembering the sacrifices, "71 Barta 1.0" was born: a testament to their resilience, courage, and service. This publication always reminds us of the loyalty, constancy, determination, firmness, and faithfulness of many who decided to face challenges and give help. May it serve future generations to rise in courage, and services and stand for humanity; a Bangladesh where compassion, courage, and character guides. 

The year 2025 marked the dawn of a new Bangladesh—a year when people found their voices, learned to stand up for their rights, and embraced the freedom to speak without fear. It was a year of awareness, courage, and collective responsibility. Like the rest of the nation, Ekattur Open Scout Group embraced this transformation time through a wide range of meaningful activities—activities designed for the people, and driven by the needs of the people. 

Throughout the year, Ekatturians made the most of every opportunity to grow. Skills were sharpened, leadership was practiced, and values were strengthened through participation in and organization of numerous camps, trainings, and service initiatives. These experiences were not just about learning techniques; they were about learning how to live—how to serve with empathy, act with discipline, and grow as responsible human beings. In many ways, 2025 was a year in which we lived life as it truly should be lived. 

The year was not without hardship. Tragedies occurred—some caused by nature, others by human carelessness. Yet, as the Scout Law reminds us, a scout is never taken by surprise. With resilience and unity, we stood together, learning from each challenge and responding with compassion and preparedness. 

"71 Barta 2.0” carries the memories of this remarkable year. More than a magazine, it is a reflection of our journey an effort to reach people, raise awareness, and share pathways toward resilience and sustainable living. It stands as a reminder that unity, service, and humanity must guide us at all times and in all circumstances. Through these pages, we hope to inspire, inform, and continue being an example of togetherness today and in the days to come
