6th Group Camp & 10th Initiation Ceremony 

Alhamdulillah, 6th Group Camp & 10th Initiation Ceremony of Ekattur Open Scout Group held on 22nd-23rd August 2019 in Bangladesh Scouts Railway Region Headquarter and Training Centre, Kamalapur, Dhaka. On the first day of the camp, everyone had reached the campsite in the afternoon. After that, it was time for their reporting and were divided into four patrols (Patrol Captain Mohiuddin Jahangir, Patrol Bir Sreshtho Engine Room Artificer Mohammad Ruhul Amin, Patrol Bir Sreshtho Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman, and Patrol Bir Sreshtho Shaheed Sipahi Muhammad Mustafa Kamal). Then they had to set up their tents and were given their insignia. There were fruitful sessions for the rovers taken by the Honorable Group President Dr. Nizamuddin Ahmed Sir and Honorable Group Secretary S. M. Enamul Haque Sir. The first session was held on the Log Book and Second was held on the Scouting Fundamentals. Later everyone celebrated the "12th Anniversary of Ekattur Open Scout Group" by releasing air balloons in the sky and holding candle lights. Then, they participated in the Camp Fire of the group camp. Everyone performed admirably such as educational drama and sang many patriotic songs. The campfire was really enjoyable. After that vigil was arranged by the respected RSL's to initiate the rover squires into rover members. On the second day of the group camp, everyone got up early in the morning and did BP PT and Aerobics. After that camp craft and inspection was conducted by the Rover Scouts Leaders. After that much anticipated Treasure Hunt started for the rovers. The rovers came back and had some light snacks. Patrol Bir Sreshtho flight lieutenant Matiur Rahman stood first, Patrol Bir Sreshtho Captain Mohiuddin Jahangir became 2nd, Patrol Bir Sreshtho Engine Room Artificer Mohammad Ruhul Amin became 3rd and Patrol Bir Sreshtho Shaheed Sipahi Muhammad Mustafa kamal became 4th in the treasure hunt. Later that day group flag was hoisted and initiation program started and the rover squires became rover scouts. 06 Rover Squires were initiated as Rover Scout. Then the closing ceremony of the camp was held in the hall room. Everyone left the camp premises at 5 o’clock. The camp activities were full of challenges & very enjoyable. A Very Successful Camp.
